Loose Women's Christine Lampard issues 'disclaimer' after Christmas special announcement

Christine Lampard issued a swift disclaimer about her singing abilities after it was announced that Loose Women would be staging a Christmas choir special later this week.

Former One Show host Christine was back at the head of the panel on the ITV lunchtime discussion show on Monday, kicking off another week alongside Loose Women regulars Coleen Nolan, Janet Street-Porter and Brenda Edwards. The episode kicked off with reaction to Jeremy Clarkson's headline-hitting remarks about Meghan Markle over the weekend, before conversation turned to the Strictly final and the reprise of Helen Skelton's amazing Couple's Choice routine, which Coleen claimed was a 'definite message' to the TV host's ex husband.

Before the Loose Women were joined live in the studio by special guest Brian Conley, the show cut to an break and then, on its return, Coleen's voice was heard on screen as she broke news of a Christmas choir episode on Friday, December 23, as past videos of the likes of Janet, Coleen and Brenda and co-star Nadia Sawalha appeared, singing classics like Wham's Last Christmas and Michael Jackson's Rockin' Robin.

Coleen urged viewers not to miss the episode but, Christine, who was heard belting out Wizzard's I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday, was slightly less enthusiastic. As the camera cut back to her to get on with the rest of Monday's programme, she remarked: "Yep, that's Friday's Loose Women, that'll be an interesting one. Did you hear me there?"

As Coleen chuckled next to her, Christine continued: "Awful. They're all brilliant, I can't sing."

The Loose Women Christmas choir special will air a day6 before many of the show's stars, including Kelle Bryan and Denise Welch, will appear in ITV's Britain Get Singing, a talent contest, which will air on Christmas Eve see them take on choirs from other ITV shows like Coronation Street and Love Island.
