Carol McGiffin took a very public stand against her colleagues on Loose Women on Thursday, with a move that caused a real stir on the panel of the ITV show.
CArol, an established panellist on the discussion show since its launch over 20 years ago, took her seat for another episode as cameras rolled on Loose Women's fourth instalment of this week, joining host Kaye Adams and co-stars Brenda Edwards and Nadia Sawalha on air. As well as it being former X Factor star Brenda's birthday, something else that became a big talking point early on was CArol's involvement, or lack of, in the Loose Women's What's group chat.
Carol was pilled up on her lack of interaction in the chat, with her being quizzed on why she's ven a member if she contributes nothing. Offering a defence of herself, Carol said she didn't want to leave the chat because of the fuss caused when colleague Janet Street-Porter tool the plunge and exited, explaining: "Denise (Welch) was horrified she was like 'JANET'S LEFT!!!"

Brenda replied: "But then you'll be thinking there's things going on that you don;'t know about and be like 'why didn't i know about that?'" BRenda's response led to Carol to admit that she was 'guilty of spying' before, being much more direct, esx EastEnders actress Nadia asked: "Why don;'t you just leave then?!"
Building herself up to leave, Carol continued: "I just hate the whole group thing. It's like when you email and reply to all and everyone has to see what everyone else is saying, there's no need!"
After that tirade, Carol appeared to go into the chat and leave it live on air, as a caption flashed up on screen saying ' Carol; has left the chat.'
While she has now quit the Loose Women What'sApp group, Carol has played a big part in the show's Body Positivity campaign. THe Celebrating Every Body initiative has been done for International Women's Day next week and Carol is set to speak honestly about surviving breast cancer and undergoing a mastectomy.
