Loose Women fans baffled by 'long and cringey' Walkers advert branded 'worst ever'

Loose Women viewers were left stunned by a "long and cringey" advert featuring four panellists during the first ad break.

During Monday's show, fans of the show were confused when the Loose Women stars returned during the adverts.

Ruth Langsford, Judi Love, Janet Street Porter and Brenda Edwards were all seen at at the panel as a director called cut.

The ladies remained silent, until Judi started eating a bag of Wotsits.

Brenda called out: "Hey who's got the crisps?"

A behind the scenes technician walked out with a handful for crisps, saying he has enough for everyone.

The women the dish out their crisps, but an argument breaks out as Judi makes a crisp sandwich.

Brenda decides to settle the debate by getting the audience involved.

She asks them who thinks crisps should be in a sandwich and who doesn't.

However, it doesn't help to end the debate as the bickering continues.

The 3 and a half minute advert ends as the panellists have to get ready for the show to get back on air, and so hide their crisps and arguing.

However, the ad didn't go down well with viewers as one said: "See better acting at a school play! #cringe #loosewomen."

Another added: "Just wow...this is a new low! #loosewomen," while someone else commented: "The crisp add on #loosewomen just now was toe curling. Beyond cringe!"

"I thought I was having a fever dream when I saw the longest and weirdest advert for crisps, what was the reason ??!!," asked a viewer.

A fifth wrote: "Embarrassing, cringe worthy and poorly scripted - it was possibly the worst ad ever."

Ahead of Loose Women, fans noticed an 'awkward' moment between Ruth Langsford and Phillip Schofield on This Morning.

Loose Women host Ruth, 63, appeared on a link on This Morning to promote the lunchtime panel show and tell viewers what they had coming up.

Ruth, who previously hosted This Morning alongside husband Eamonn Holmes, greeted Phil, 61, and Holly Willoughby before telling viewers what the Loose Women were set to discuss today.

Although some viewers couldn't help but notice an awkward moment during the link amid Phil and Holly's reported feud.

The camera showed Holly and Phil alongside Ruth as Phil quipped: "See you later," while Ruth was seen waving and giving a smile to the camera.

Viewers called Ruth's expression "smug" as she ended the link.

One wrote: "Ruth looking rather smug....and rightly so, she knew all along! #ThisMorning".

Another added: "Ruth moving on swiftly with that rictus grin on her face" and a third penned: "Ruth’s eye speak a million words #ThisMorning".

And a fourth wrote: "Ruth’s smile is making me cackle, she’s loving the downfall of Schofe, she’s gonna take a front row seat #ThisMorning".

Phil and Holly are said to be locked in a feud, with reports their friendship has cooled in recent months. The pair have been hit with a series of issues recently including being falsely accused of skipping the queue to see the Queen lying in state.

Holly is then said to have felt upset that she wasn't told of Phillip's brother Timothy Schofield's trial ahead of time, during which Phil took time away from This Morning.

Phillip later addressed the claims in a statement, where he said things "haven't been easy" but called Holly his "rock".

But, the statement is said to have "blindsided" and "upset" Holly with both the presenter and ITV bosses thinking the statement "made things worse".
