Loose Women chaos as Stacey Solomon forced to step in after panellist drops out sick

Stacey Solomon was in a rush as she was forced to step in as a panellist for Loose Women after a co-presenter dropped out sick.

The star took to her Instagram Stories to explain the chaos happening around her house as she quickly tried to look after her children and set up for her Zoom appearance on the show.

Sharing a snap of her son Rex online, she wrote: "We are back from Rotherham and someone has called in sick to Loose Women so I'm scrambling around trying to sort the pickles out, drink my cold tea and put something on so I can cover today on Zoom.

"Happy Wednesday everyone. I hope you're all okay today."

In the picture, Rex and their dog looked cosy on the couch while Stacey held out her mug of cold tea.

She also posted: "I put a dress on. Joe is going to take Rexy for a long walk and now I'm going to redo my plaits and put my make-up on and I was going to show you a new eyebrow pallet tonight but because I have to do my make-up now, I'm going to quickly show you now."

Co-panellist Christine told viewers today that Stacey was a 'last-minute substitution' and had to present from home as she couldn't make it to the studio in time.

Stacey only recently returned to the ITV show after giving birth to her and Joe Swash's daughter Rose in October.

The panellist has been busy with her children, including 13-year-old Zachary, nine-year-old Leighton and little Rex.

She has also been planning for her wedding with Joe and renovating Pickle Cottage.

With all hands full, Stacey still brings the great energy as she presents on Loose Women.

It was also recently reported that Stacey and Joe are in talks for a reality show set at Pickle Cottage.

An insider told Heat: “Fans love seeing what her and the family get up to and are always begging for more when she puts up videos and pictures on her Instagram.

“Stacey is keener than Joe, but knows she can win him round.

“She’s so grateful for all the opportunities that have come her way, which have mainly been because of her Insta family, and would love to show even more of her home life.”

The TV source hinted that some things will be kept private, but that telly bosses and Stacey are sure fans would eat up the chance to spend more time with her at home and the show would be “a sure-fire hit”.

With Stacey busy looking after little Rex and Rose while juggling work commitments, the insider told the publication that a reality show would make a lot of sense for their family dynamic as she could film while being at home with the littlest kids.
