LOCK in your babysitter because a new Generation Y-focused music festival is coming to Lake Macquarie in March.
Lookout Festival will make its debut at Speers Point Park on March 8, featuring some of the biggest Australian rock acts of the late '90s and 2000s.
Are You Gonna Be My Girl hit-makers Jet headline the line-up, alongside revived alt-rock titans Grinspoon and rock-pop stars The Veronicas.
Spiderbait, Magic Dirt, Jebediah and Youth Group round out the line-up.
Following the success of two Lockout Festivals earlier this year in Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia with line-ups headlined by US rock heavyweights Queens Of The Stone Age and Live, promoters Face To Face Touring have expanded it to Lake Macquarie and Wollongong.
Face To Face Touring is the company behind the long-running Red Hot Summer and SummerSalt festivals, and Cold Chisel's Big 5-0 tour, which sold out the Newcastle Entertainment Centre on November 6.
The Red Hot Summer line-up of Icehouse, Noiseworks, Wolfmother, Eskimo Joe and more, is coming to Speers Point Park on February 15 and is already sold out.
In March this year SummerSalt was held at Speers Point Park with a line-up of James Bay, Matt Corby, Ziggy Alberts and Thelma Plum.
Tickets for Lookout Festival go on pre-sale next Monday from 10am, followed by general sale at 10am on November 26.
