Several Manchester United fans are lamenting the exit of Jose Mourinho after the 59-year-old guided Roma to the inaugural Europa Conference League final on Thursday.
The ex-Chelsea boss was visibly emotional after Tammy Abraham’s goal was enough for the Italian club to edge past Leicester in a 2-1 aggregate win. He may become the first manager to lift the new trophy following the competition’s creation last year.
His club will play Feyenoord in the final on May 25. Mourinho has failed to get his hands on silverware since United lifted the League Cup and Europa League in 2017.

The Premier League giants have not won a trophy themselves since, either. United look set to play Europa League football next season after being knocked out of the Champions League at the Last 16 stage this year.
Roma are battling with Lazio in Serie A for a Europa League spot, so it is possible Mourinho could face his former club next season. However, some United fans believe their club and Mourinho should have never parted ways in 2018 with the Portuguese boss one game away from silverware again.
