Longitude festival 2023: Everything you need to know about Calvin Harris, MK and Travis Scott

Longitude returns to Marlay Park this weekend with music from some of the best performers out there.

This year's line-up includes Calvin Harris, Travis Scott as well as Ice Spice, Jazzy, Lil Uzi Vert, Anne-Marie, Joel Corry, and Joey Bada$$. The two-day festival is set to begin on Saturday, 1 July.

As with most places, concertgoers have been advised to plan their trip to Marlay Park ahead of time to avoid disappointment. Concert promoters MCD has also issued advice to those attending the festival, like to take public transport where possible, what items are banned, and more.

Scottish DJ Calvin Harris will be taking to the stage on 1 July with support from MK. On 2 July, American rapper Travis Scott will hit the stage, followed by Lil Uzi Vert. There will also be performances across the weekend from Jazzy, Anne-Marie, DJ Joel Corry, Joey Bada$$, RAYE, Metro Boomin and more.

Although tickets for the shows have mostly sold out, you can still grab the few remaining ones on Ticketmaster. Here is all you need to know about attending a gig at Marlay Park:

How to get to Marlay Park

Promoters MCD are warning attendees to leave at least two hours to get to the venue. There are a number of Dublin Bus routes that can drop you off near Marlay Park.

Bus

The number 14 and 75 bus takes you to Ballinteer Shopping Centre which is a short walk away from the venue.

Additionally, the number 16, 116, and 161 buses serve the Grange Road entrances of Marlay Park close to the concert site.

Luas

The closest Luas stops are at Ballaly and Dundrum which are a 30-minute walk to Marlay Park. There will be a Park and Ride shuttle service from Dundrum Town Centre and Custom House Quay. Booking in advance is advised.

Shuttle bus

A concert shuttle bus by Marathon Sports Travel is one of the most direct modes of transport to Marlay Park, as it will leave you directly outside the venue.

Those who are driving from the city centre can access the mark via Ranelagh, Clonskeagh, Goatstown, Sandyford, Grange Road and then onto College Road for car parks. If you're taking the M50, exit M50 at Junction 13 Interchange (Dundrum).

Follow Brehonfield Road R133, direction Rathfarnham. Turn left at Ballinteer St Johns GAA Club onto R822 (signposted Ticknock). Turn right at traffic lights at Taylor’s Three Rock Pub onto College Road R113. The entrance to the car park is off College Road.

Carparks

The car park has very limited space and has to be pre-booked online. People without a booking will be turned away. The car park opens one hour in advance of the concerts.

What time do gates open?

According to concert promoters MCD, gates will open on Saturday and Sunday from 1:30pm. 1.30pm.

No overnight or early queuing is permitted.

Are there any tickets for the Longitude festival gigs at Marlay Park?

It seems that most of the tickets for the gigs are sold out. However, there are some resale tickets via Ticketmaster that are expected to be snapped up quickly by eager fans.

Banned items

Concertgoers are not allowed to bring garden furniture, deckchairs, fold-up chairs, or shooting sticks to Marlay Park. Umbrellas, flagpoles, folding chairs, or alcohol will be confiscated at the ticket barriers.

People have also been warned against bringing any illegal items including drugs and weapons. Additionally, professional cameras or recording equipment are banned.

Age restrictions

The Longitude gigs at Marlay Park have strict age restrictions, according to MCD.

Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult at all times. MCD has said that strict age monitoring will be in place at all entrances.
