Long Eaton property closed by police after 'unacceptable behaviour'

Police have closed a property in a town due to consistent 'unacceptable behaviour'. A property at Trafalgar Square in Long Eaton has been served a closure notice by police following repeated reports of drug related anti-social behaviour.

A temporary closure notice was issued on Friday, June 30, meaning nobody could enter the property for 24 hours. Long Eaton's neighbourhood policing team explained this would be extended to a three month period, should a Court Hearing approve the closure order.

Acting Sergeant Taylor, from the Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Team said: "No doubt the closure of this house will come as a huge relief to those in the local community who have been subjected to the unacceptable behaviour of those who use the property. We would like to thank the community for their support, and we hope this prompt action reassures the area that we are committed to make Long Eaton a safe place to live"
