London Zone 2 homes for sale: 10 properties for less than the £630,000 travel zone price average

Inner London’s house prices may be off-puttingly high — the average Zone 2 property currently sells for £630,000, according to Knight Frank estate agency, with flats going for £525,000 and detached homes for just shy of £2 million — but there are still some relative bargains to unearth.

The median Zone 2 sale price has risen by 2.1 per cent over the last year, up from £617,082 in 2021, in part due to the capital opening up again after the Covid-19 pandemic and professionals seeking to avoid a long commute. It is £80,000 higher than the Zone 3 average of £550,000 (also up, by 1.9 per cent).

But don’t despair. Here are 10 properties for sale right now for less than £630,000, from a canalside Mile End new-build to a Maida Vale maisonette a short stroll from not one, not two, but three Tube stations.

From one-bedroom apartments to three-, four- and even five-bedroom family homes, there’s something for every buyer.
