Londoners may face heavy showers and thunderstorms as the Met Office warned the good weather could break on Thursday evening.
It’s yellow weather warning said the storm which could stretch as far up the country as Yorkshire and down to the north London suburbs and cause “some flooding and disruption”.
They said there was “a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail, leading to longer journey times by car and bus” as well as possible delays to trains.
Forecasters also warned of “a chance of some flooding” and “probably some damage to a few buildings and structures from lightning strikes”.
The good weather is set to return for the weekend with temperatures of 27C and 28C predicted over the next three days.
