London travel news LIVE: Trains disrupted at Waterloo and half-term engineering works

London Overground services have been severely disrupted - (Google Maps)

The London Overground suffered serious disruption on Monday morning due to a “customer incident” and pre-planned engineering works.

Meanwhile, services have been suspended between Sydenham and Crystal Palace, and between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction.

A £400million investment has brought passenger services to a halt so a signalling system and new tracks can be upgraded.

Meanwhile a crash in north London has caused long tailbacks along the North Circular during rush hour.

The A112 Chingford Road was forced to close at around 4.40am on Monday morning following the collision.

The busy road has been shut from where the road meets the North Circular (Crooked Billet Interchange)  to where it meets Forest Road.

There was around six miles of traffic along the North Circular at 9am following the crash, with queues reaching North Middlesex Hospital.
