Thousands of London commuters are facing a difficult start to the week, with a broken down train and the theft of signalling cables causing disruption to rail services into the capital.
Some Greater Anglia trains into Stratford and Liverpool Street are being affected by the theft of signalling cables in the Lea Bridge area.
Meanwhile Gatwick Express and Southern trains running between East Croydon and London Victoria are being disrupted by a broken down train in the Balham area.
Some lines are blocked with National Rail saying disruption is likely to last until midday.

Trains to Heathrow hit by delays after broken down train
11:58 , Jacob PhillipsTrains to Heathrow Airport have been hit by delays after a train broke down between Heathrow Airport Terminals 2 & 3 and Heathrow Airport Terminal 4 on Monday morning.
Heathrow Express and Elizabeth line services have been disrupted and while lines have reopened may still be delayed by up to 30 minutes.
Services to / from Heathrow Airport may still be cancelled, revised or delayed until at least 12.30pm.
Severe delays on the District Line

Theft of cables to cause disruption until at least midday
09:45 , Jacob PhillipsThe theft of cables at Lea Bridge means that all lines through the station are still blocked, National Rail has warned.
Only an extremely reduced service is able to operate between Tottenham Hale and Stratford, causing disruption for commuters.
Issues are expected to remain until midday.
TfL promises Piccadilly Line closures will end soon
08:46 , Jacob PhillipsA section of the Piccadilly Line remains shut on Monday as Transport for London continues to fix trains damaged by leaves on the tracks in west London.
Problems with worn-out wheels have caused a dire shortage of trains on the line, with only 60 of the 86 trains in the Piccadilly Line fleet able to be used recently.
But TfL chiefs hope to have 70 trains repaired and back in service in the next few weeks, meaning the western end of the line between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge can be reopened.

Minor delays on the Elizabeth line

TfL has said there is a good service on the rest of the line.
Gatwick Express cancellations
07:46 , Michael HowieGatwick Express between Victoria, Gatwick and Brighton are cancelled due to a broken down train in the Balham area.
The issue is also affected Southern services, with trains between Reigate and London Victoria, and Gatwick Airport and London Victoria also cancelled.
Cable theft closes line
07:41 , Michael HowieTheft of signalling cables at Lea Bridge means all lines through this station are currently blocked.
Trains running between Tottenham Hale and Stratford may be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 15 minutes, with disruption expected until 9am, according to National Rail.
Train services between Meridian Water and Stratford have been suspended, it adds.
