London taxi driver arrested near St Pancras on suspicion of supplying cocaine from his black cab

A black cab driver has been arrested near St Pancras station in London on suspicion of supplying cocaine from his taxi.

City of London police officers arrested the man, aged in his 50s, in Pancras Road at 10.50am on Thursday.

The force said on Twitter: “ A man has been arrested on Pancras Road in connection with the supply of Class A drugs.

“It’s suspected that the male was supplying cocaine in the City of London from his black cab.”

He remained in custody on Thursday afternoon.

On Thursday the Standard revealed that there has been a surge in cocaine seizures in the capital in recent months.
