Heavy snow has been forecast for London as a cold snap continues to grip the UK.
A yellow ‘be aware’ warning for snow is in force for London and the south-east which spans across Tuesday and into Wednesday.
The Met Office has issued a warning for “snow, possibly heavy at times, developing overnight Tuesday and into Wednesday.”
It said: “A band of rain pushing east across parts of England is likely to turn to snow during Tuesday evening, with snow continuing into Wednesday.
“Accumulations of 1-3 cm are likely quite widely, with accumulations of 5 cm in places. There is a small chance that some areas could see up to 10 cm, more especially over the higher ground.”
The warning covers the London and the south-east, south west England, the West and East Midlands and East of England.
Yellow warnings for wind and ice are in force for much of the UK for Sunday.
The UK is currently in the grip of an Arctic blast with strong winds, snow and ice bringing a chilly end to the month.
Forecaster Luke Miall said Sunday would feel noticeably colder than Saturday.
He said: "We will see quite a blast of strong, northerly winds coming down from the Arctic.
"It's going to be very windy but it's also going to turn much colder."
He added: "That northerly wind is just going to cut straight through, so its real temperature on the thermometer will probably say 4-7C, but when you add on the wind it's going to feel sub-zero."
