London's best places for a tarot card reading

The Psychic Sisters

Selfridges, W1, psychicsisters.co.uk

It’s been a couple of years since clairvoyant Jayne Wallace was a hit on Dragons’ Den, where the Dragons took her extraordinary claims at face value, rather than for funnies. Wallace’s brand, which is found in Selfridge's, specialises in “wellness with a spiritual twist”. Kim K and Kylie Jenner are fans, so too Charlotte Tilbury and Tracey Emin. Book in for a tarot reading from one of the psychics. Who can say what will happen? But one thing we can predict: you’ll leave at least £100 poorer.

Wellness Foundry

Black Prince Road, SE1, wellnessfoundry.co.uk

If the Sisters are all sleek and chic, a bit like a left-field Goop, the Wellness Foundry specialises more in Merlin and Prospero vibes. Lots of purple, crescent moons, all-seeing-eyes, that sort of thing. In their London sanctuary — their word — founders Fiongal Greenlaw (former Fashion Designer) and Jamie Meek (no longer a pro dancer) offer all sorts of aid for one’s aura. Tarot reading can be booked too, though the website reminds those in the market that it is “not a predictive tool”.

Treadwell’s Books

33 Store Street, WC1, treadwells-london.com

Treadwell’s is worth a visit whether one is into chakras and crystals or not. A bookshop, Waterstone’s it ain’t — this is somewhere where the shelves are full with specialist texts on the occult, wizardry, the otherworld. There are, naturally, ceremonial oils and rare herbs as well, alongside regular lectures and classes on the mythic and mystic. For those keen to simply peer into the future, tarot readings are given, both in person and online, with readings limited to one every three months.
