London's air fryer restaurant: Fred Sirieix to unveil eaterie to promote Ninja's new product

The air fryer craze was one of the most defining moments of the Covid-19 lockdown — and it continues to this day. It might even feel like everyone you know owns one.

Now, the air fryer trend is expanding beyond home kitchens with a unique pop-up offering Londoners a complimentary immersive dining experience for one day only. French TV presenter and maître d' Fred Sirieix has unveiled Ninja’s new restaurant on London’s Southbank.

The Thursday (May 23) event will promote the Ninja Double Stack XL Air Fryer.

“Ninja is breaking boundaries and redefining what's possible in the kitchen,” Sirieix said. “The Ninja Double Stack Air Fryer XL and the stacked food concept are all about pushing the limits of culinary creativity and giving home cooks the tools they need to unleash their inner chef.”

The pop-up restaurant will invite guests to walk through giant air fryer doors into a mini kitchen inspired by the ‘stacked’ theme. From the décor and art to clever storage hacks, organisers say everything will showcase how to maximise small spaces.

Visitors will enjoy a free three-course ‘double stacked’ themed dining experience in an intimate setting, with only 20 people per session. Canapés prepared in the Ninja Double Stack Air Fryer XL and cocktails featuring air-fried garnishes will begin the meal. Double-stacked savoury and sweet courses in dual-layered bento boxes will feature dishes such as Chilli Rayu and Mexican Salmon.

The event, for which all 120 tickets have been sold, will offer insights on optimising kitchen counter space with the new Ninja air fryer.

The Double Stacked Restaurant will open on London’s Southbank at the Riverside Grass, SE1 9PH.

An air fryer is a kitchen appliance that cooks food by circulating hot air around it. It mimics the crispy texture of deep-frying but uses significantly less oil, or in some cases, none at all. It's popular for its ability to make traditionally fried foods healthier while still achieving a similar taste and texture.
