London Irish reveal new 2020/21 kit inspired by their return to the capital

London Irish have launched a new kit inspired by London ahead of their return to the capital after a two-decade absence.

Irish will play at the new Brentford Community Stadium when the 2020/21 Premiership season begins having spent the last 20 years in Reading.

Fittingly, they have revealed a home jersey which features the London skyline on the back and says “Back In Town”.

“The London Irish jerseys are symbolic every year and none more so than this season, as the countdown continues to our new chapter back in the capital,” said London Irish CEO Brian Facer.

“We’re really pleased with both designs, which successfully give a nod towards our past in terms of our Irish heritage, as well as highlighting our present and our future in London.

“At a time when Exiles supporters are sadly unable to attend fixtures owing to COVID-19, we’re confident our fans will really embrace both jerseys and show their colours by purchasing the shirts, as we gear up for our maiden campaign at Brentford."
