Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to after a “high-value” watch robbery in the West End.

The victim was waiting to be let inside a shop in Duke Street when he was grabbed from behind and had his expensive watch forced off his wrist around 5.15pm on November 16 last year.

The suspect then pushed the victim into the shop’s window before making-off on the back of a moped, said police.

The victim, whose watch was stolen, was not injured. Police said the robber had been following him before carrying out the theft.

Met officers described the suspect as tall, wearing a grey baseball cap, dark clothing and light-coloured shoes.

On Friday, they released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the robbery.

Anyone who recognises the man pictured is being asked to call police on 101, quoting CAD 5693/16NOV.

Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.
