We spoke to voters, including many voting for the first time, about the issues that matter to them and the extreme weather conditions.
Ahead of the polls, the Election Commission issued 13-page guidelines on facilities to be provided at polling stations to protect voters from the heat. Newslaundry examined if the polling stations were well-equipped and how the heat impacted the polls in the capital city.
