Logan Paul sparred fighter who 'KO'd Anthony Joshua' before Andy Ruiz Jr fight

Logan Paul sparred with a heavyweight boxer who 'knocked out' Anthony Joshua in the lead up to his fight with Andy Ruiz Jr.

Before Joshua's shock heavyweight title loss to Ruiz in 2019, he reportedly suffered a concussion after being 'knocked out' by his sparring partner Joey Dawejko. The 31-year-old gatekeeper boasts a record of 21-10 and has fought top heavyweight such as Frank Sanchez and Zhan Kossobutskiy.

The son of of two-time heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman said he was training with Dawejko just after Paul fought internet star KSI for the second time. Dawjeko sparred Logan whilst Rahman Jr trained with the YouTube star's brother Jake.

"I was in camp with Joey Dawejko and at the time Logan was supposed to be the better brother [at boxing]," he told the ' No Limits ' podcast. "This was about the time he fought KSI so it was the first time we sparred. Logan sparred with Joey and I sparred with Jake. It was good work all around the board."

Rahman Jr is unbeaten in 12 professional fights and is hoping to follow the success of his father in the sport. Speaking before Jake's 2020 knockout win over Nate Robinson, he backed 'The Problem Child' to go further in boxing than his brother.

"Jake is definitely the better fighter of the two and he definitely could do a little something with boxing if he keeps his mind to it," Rahman Jr told Sky Sports. "He's young, he has heart, he has a great team, and that's what is going to get him to wherever it is he wants to go, if he stays focused with it. I think that he likes boxing a little bit more than his brother."

Jake believes he can win a world title in boxing despite having just five professional wins under his belt. The YouTube star has been criticised for 'cherry-picking' his opponents, fighting MMA fighter at the end of their careers such as Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren.

Rahman said of Jake's boxing ventures: "When you're getting millions of dollars inside your first 10 fights, it's kind of hard to get motivated for those fights against guys that have been doing this for 25 years.

"He'll have some entertaining fights, but I don't know about world level. When it comes to world level fighting, now you're pushing it a little bit."
