Logan Paul’s boxing return in doubt after YouTuber suffered serious injury

Logan Paul tore two knee-ligaments during his WWE defeat by Roman Reigns on Saturday night, which has put his boxing return in jeopardy.

The Youtube star was making his latest appearance after signing with wrestling promotion WWE, incredibly taking on champion Reigns at the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia. He once again impressed throughout his performance but just fell short after being speared by his rival and unable to beat the traditional three-count.

However, Paul suffered a damaging blow during the fight, where he has revealed that he suffered a double tear of his anterior-cruciate ligament [ACL] and medial-cruciate ligament [MCL], in addition to a potential tear of his meniscus cartilage. It is claimed that he was wrestling for 10 minutes with the injury, which showed why many saluted his courageous performance in the ring.

He posted an image on Instagram with his knee laid up on a stool, with the caption: "Torn meniscus, MCL & potentially ACL. Happened halfway through the match. keep y’all updated." Paul later posted a video of himself being pushed in a wheelchair by partner Nina Agdal, who had clearly taken him to hospital for medical treatment.

The 27-year-old had made a whole host of high-skill manoeuvres during the fight, including a frog splash and a cross-body jump from the top rope during the fight which he controlled large parts of. Paul also jumped onto his opponent, who he had laid on the announcer's table, and captured the footage in a personal point-of-view camera shot, with the video going viral on his social media accounts.

However, the 'Tribal Chief' retained his WWE championship once again, seeing his reign extend to 797 straight days. Meanwhile, it may now be more lasting damage for Paul, who was eyeing a return to the boxing ring in January on the Misfits Boxing card set to be announced by his friend KSI in the coming days.

He was linked with a host of opponents, including MMA fighter Dillon Danis and controversial ex-kickboxer Andrew Tate. In his most recent update regarding his boxing career, Paul called out Tate and believes a fight can be made, even if it is in MMA. "I have said what I said that I didn't feel like platforming him," Paul said during an interview with UFC star Sean O'Malley. "But then this motherf***** starts talking a lot of s***.

"And maybe I would take the opportunity to platform him for one night and turn his face inside out. So maybe I will take it back and I will fight Andrew Tate. I was pushing for it this would be fantastic. I thought maybe we could forego those warm-up fights and do it. I have a solution, why don't we do something that neither of us have done? An MMA fight between me and Tate in the UFC."
