Logan Paul responds to Floyd Mayweather claiming he has been paid for fight

Logan Paul has branded Floyd Mayweather a "punch drunk idiot" while reiterating his claim that he hasn't been paid for their exhibition fight.

The YouTube star shared the ring with Mayweather last year and managed to survive the eight-round distance against the undefeated boxing legend. Mayweather was expected to have earned £52million with his counterpart pocketing £15million, but Paul has frequently alleged he has yet to be paid his full fight purse.

Paul has now mocked Mayweather's inability to score knockout victory over him, especially as he has not won any of his professional boxing outings. "Floyd Mayweather, you punch drunk idiot, read my lips," Paul said during a brutal opening message to his rival on Andrew Schulz's Flagrant show. "Oh wait, you can't. Where is my money, b****? Floyd hasn't paid me for our fight.

"Who am I, the IRS [Internal Revenue Service]? You can't dodge taxes like you do punches, dummy. How can you call yourself the greatest of all time when you couldn't even finish me? What am I, high school? Your punches are softer than the pillow Conor McGregor makes Dillon Danis bite."

Paul has frequently battled with Mayweather over payment for the fight. He first came out after the fight to claim he hasn't been paid his full fight purse. He later doubled down on this claim by branding the boxing legend a "rat" and confirming his intentions to take legal action to receive his planned earnings.

Mayweather initially responded by urging his counterpart to be patient, also claiming that he is yet to receive full purses from bouts during his illustrious professional career. However, Paul rekindled his plans to sue Mayweather and has continued to deny receiving any further payment.

The boxing legend yesterday dismissed the claims as "bull****" while claiming that Paul has also reached out for a second meeting since. "This is the guy who said he didn't get paid, which we know is truly false, which is why I don't entertain the bull**** a lot of the time," Mayweather said at the press conference to announce his latest exhibition fight, against Japanese mixed martial artist Mikuru Asakura.

"We know he got paid and if he didn't get paid he wouldn't be trying to get another payday. It is so crazy that Logan Paul wants to do an exhibition again but it is the same guy that said he didn't get paid. It is what it is."

Mayweather has even been urged by his own uncle to pay Paul for his role in the fight. However, the YouTube star's brother, Jake, believes Paul may never be paid in full for his third-ever boxing outing. "Floyd Mayweather is broke," Jake Paul said. "That’s what a lot of people don’t realise.

"He gets these big cheques and doesn’t pay taxes on them. Then the IRS comes hunting him down later. He owes a lot of people I know money. Logan is deep down on that list. So, I don’t know if Logan will ever get paid. It’s kind of f***** up!"
