Logan Paul has recalled choking out his father Greg during a ju-jitsu class to show he was "in charge" as he began to grow up.
Paul has a made a huge career for himself having cultivated a social media following of around 22 million. He has also made a successful move into fighting and most recently made an appearance at WWE's showpiece WrestleMania event where he fought in a tag team bout against the Mysterio brothers.
The YouTube star has revealed he noticed a fighting rivalry beginning with his dad while growing up as he continued to develop more strength. "My dad was a super physical, intense dude," Paul said on his Impaulsive podcast. “He was kicking ass, and when I started to get a little stronger and go through puberty, I noticed a little rivalry starts to go on. It’s a bit like ‘Papi I am getting stronger, taller, heads-up!’
"We did some Ju-Jitsu classes together, and for the first time in my life, I felt capable of overpowering my father physically. I choked him out in the class for the first time. I remember when it was happening I was like ‘oh my God I got him. I’m in charge now motherf*****!’ He tapped out and we had a moment on the mat, and he looked at me and said 'you’ve got a lot stronger'."
Paul has yet to record a victory in his fighting career having fought fellow YouTuber KSI twice before sharing the ring with Floyd Mayweather in a historic exhibition event last year. Paul's father is believed to be a key cog in his and his brother Jake chasing their dreams to compete in combat sports.
He was present during Paul's exploit with Mayweather where he managed to go the full distance with the boxing legend despite having only competed twice in the ring before. Paul is expected to follow brother Jake and former rival KSI in making a return to the boxing ring in August.

Brazilian YouTube star Whindersson announced his intentions to face Paul in the ring next which the 27-year-old gladly accepted on social media. Paul has been told by UFC legend that the "gig is up" and he can now call himself one of the boxing community after his recent fights.
"I tried not to be one of those dorks who likes the Paul bros. I tried everything I could do. I resisted as long as I could resist. I met Jake Paul. That was a problem for not liking him because he was very likeable. Logan Paul fought Floyd Mayweather. The gig is up," Sonnen said.
"When you get in there with Floyd, the gig is up. You're now part of the community, period. You didn't have to have the golden gloves, go through the military, make a world Olympic team as an amateur. You fought Floyd, it's over. You're now a part of this group."
