Logan Paul makes Paddy Pimblett promise in new UFC challenge

Logan Paul has called for a fight against Paddy Pimblett during an appearance on the True Geordie podcast. It is not the first time that the pair have been linked together and Paul's appearance further fuels speculation that a fight could happen.

Paul has only fought professionally once, a loss to fellow YouTuber KSI in the boxing ring, and currently holds a 0-1 record but is believed to be keen to re-enter the ring. His brother Jake has enjoyed a successful 5-0 record in the boxing ring so far and has beaten UFC star Terrence Crawford twice.

The latest comments were made when sitting down with popular British podcaster True Geordie, when asked about a potential UFC fight in the future, Paul said: “I’m taking out Paddy ‘The Baddy,’ dude. I’m taking him out.”

True Geordie, whose real name is Brian Davis, then told Paul that he was sitting in the same seat as Pimblett had done during his appearance on the podacast, to which Paul responded: “Paddy sat here before? F**k this chair.”, he then described how he would beat the 27-year-old saying: I’m gonna get him. Kick to the jaw, brother.”

Due to Pimblett's involvement with the UFC, Paul said that he would require Dana White's permission to fight, something the UFC boss admitted was a possibility on the Impaulsive podcast.

After being unbeaten in two UFC performances, Pimblett has also responded to claims of a potential fight, but he has given confirmation that he would plan to force a submission from the YouTube star. He told The Schmo that Paul's size advantage be a factor in a potential fight.

“He knows who the boy is, doesn’t he?, He knows who will put bums on seats, lad. I can’t see him mentioning anyone else. I know he’s a lot bigger than me but I don’t think it really matters to be honest," he said.

"I think I’d submit him quite easily and quite quickly but you never know, anything can happen in a fight. If Logan Paul ever does want the fight, lad, I’m open to hearing what numbers he’s coming at us with."
