Logan Paul has insisted he won his fight with Floyd Mayweather after his rival failed to deliver on his KO promise.
The YouTube star went the eight-round distance in a hugely successful exhibition clash with the boxing legend last June, which is believed to have sold one million pay-per-view buys. Paul had drawn and lost his two prior fights in the ring against YouTube rival KSI, but viewed his clash with Mayweather as a huge success having failed to be dropped in the showdown.
During the build-up to the fight, the former champion had promised fans that he would knock out the content creator after several verbal barbs had been traded throughout the promotion of the event. But Paul insists there is no way in which Mayweather can suggest he picked up victory despite an official result not being declared.
"I didn't lose it was an exhibition," Paul said on the most recent episode of his Impaulsive podcast when discussing his bout with Mayweather. "I didn't lose there was no loser. I mean I am going to be honest with you, I think I won that fight. He didn't knock a YouTuber out in eight rounds and he guaranteed a KO in that press conference. I don't know if there is a world where you can take away from that fight that Floyd won."
Paul's brother Jake was also adamant that the YouTuber had done the impossible and defeated Mayweather, who had not been beaten in his fifty fights as a professional. In his other two boxing showcases, Mayweather has shown total domination dispatching of Tenshin Nasukawa in his first exhibition, before most recently outclassing former sparring partner Don Moore.
Since that fight, Paul's profile has continued to raise and he recently signed a contract with wrestling promotion WWE, where he is set to fight for the title belt against Roman Reigns in Saudi Arabia in November. His career in combat sports is going from strength to strength, but he still wants to return to the boxing ring with an eye on a January return.

Mayweather had claimed Paul had reached out to secure a rematch having had so much success from their opening bout. However Paul quickly shut down the accusation and revealed he had moved on from their rivalry. “He went on a press conference or something the other day and he had the audacity to tell the media that I asked for a rematch,” Paul said.
"Let me just set the record straight – why the f*** would I ask for a rematch with someone who doesn’t pay you for the fight. Second of all go f*** yourself, but what if I give it to Jake?"
