Logan Paul disagrees with brother Jake over Andrew Tate being censored

Logan Paul believes Andrew Tate was right to be banned from social media over his contentious views.

Tate is a former kickboxer and has shot into the spotlight in recent months for his controversial opinions, which have gone viral on a number of social media platforms including TikTok and Instagram. As his profile continued to grow, various campaign groups sought to take down his influence with his views on women including the suggestion that they “bear some responsibility” for being assaulted.

In recent days, Tate has been removed from every social media platform thinkable including Facebook, Twitter and TikTok as the companies seek to prevent his views from continuing to influence the public. Paul's brother Jake defended Tate's right to free speech by releasing the notorious star's final message, tweeting: "Both of these statements are true: 1) I don’t agree with a lot Andrew Tate’s opinions 2) I don’t agree with censorship Who is with me?"

However his high-profile sibling isn't with him by arguing Tate's opinions will have a ripple effect on the views of young children. “You wanna re-platform this guy? Anyone," Paul said in a lengthy rant on Tate's recent social media ban on his Impaulsive podcast. "You wanna have him on your shows, do you wanna give him another opportunity to speak and spread his agenda?

"Because whether you believe it or not, the s**t that Andrew Tate is saying will have a ripple effect much more dangerous than you can imagine because his narrative is truly hateful and it will effect young people. But you can't say what you want to say when the platform you want to spread your word on is privately owned and money is a factor.

"The companies that Andrew Tate is spreading his speech on have the sole objective of making money. Some of his takes have merit some of them are disgusting. Say he has good four takes and one is f***ed up, so when Andrew Tate becomes your idol or 'god' or the person who you look up to online.

"Andrew Tate has a lot of influence but when the one take comes out you always have to remember that these platforms can ban him and do whatever the f*** they want. Freedom of speech, you can do whatever you want, but when you are at the mercy of an organisation that brings you the visibility and you don't want to play the rules that's going to be a problem."

Tate burst into the limelight after appearing on Big Brother in 2016 but was removed from the show after a video emerged of him appearing to hit a women with a belt. He has also had an extensive kickboxing career, which has seen him linked with fights against YouTuber's KSI and the Paul brothers but they seem unlikely options after his ban.
