Logan Paul defends KSI following brother Jake's 'running for two years' jibe

Logan Paul has jumped to the defence of old rival KSI after a jibe from his own brother Jake.

The younger Paul brother took to social media to mock his long-time rival KSI, with whom Logan is a co-owner on the energy drink company Prime.

Jake Paul celebrates the two-year anniversary of his boxing debut this weekend, and posted on Twitter to remind his fans of the historic occasion.

He defeated KSI's close friend and fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib in Miami, Florida to ignite his fight career, where he is now 5-0 with four KOs.

"Two years ago today I made my pro debut and dropped this little guy," Paul said alongside a picture of him stopping Gib.

"KSI been running since."

And while a number of fans in the comments agreed with his assessment of the situation, one person who wasn't siding with him was his own brother Logan.

The older Paul sibling joked that KSI was "running straight to the bank," before tagging their joint drinks company.

KSI and Logan Paul had a massive series of bouts in 2018 and 2019 where they fought to a draw in a white collar boxing match before the Brit won a split decision in their professional rematch.

They shared a heated rivalry during that time, where both men made a number of jibes at one another, before ultimately settling their feud after KSI had won the fight.

And they are now working together on their energy drink, despite the fact that Jake Paul is still angling for a fight with the Brit, and vice versa.

After that fight with Gib, KSI entered the ring to confront the younger Paul brother, and had the world not been thrown into lockdown due to the coronavirus just weeks later, it's likely they would have fought in 2020.

But KSI is now focusing on his music career and business interests, with two chart-topping albums in the last two years and the thriving success of his YouTube group the Sidemen.

His business deal with the elder Paul was announced earlier this year with drinks flying off the shelf in America and UK launch expected in the coming weeks.

They have both also claimed that they are retired from boxing, saying in a video to promote the drink that they were finished with the sport.

This is despite both men having on multiple occasions expressed an interest in fighting again in the future.

Asked what they do for a living by TikTok star ItsDanielMac for a video, KSI responded, "Well we used to be boxers but we're retired now," to which Paul added, "Yeah".

When Mac asked what happened, Paul replied by repeating his claim that Floyd Mayweather has yet to pay him for their exhibition bout, which took place last June.

"I fought Floyd Mayweather but he never paid me," Paul joked in the video. "So now we just distribute beverages."
