Logan Paul challenges "loud mouth" rising star Paddy Pimblett to UFC fight

Logan Paul has challenged rising star Paddy Pimblett to fight in the UFC octagon and is confident that he would have his hand raised in any showdown.

The YouTube star continued his future in combat sports with an appearance in wrestling at WWE's huge Wrestlemania 38 event, teaming up with The Miz to defeat Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik. Paul also fought in a high-profile event against Floyd Mayweather last year in the boxing ring.

Now Paul is eyeing a surprise appearance in the octagon and believes that he is capable of handing Pimblett the first defeat of his UFC career. "I have found out who I would like to fight if I did a UFC match. Paddy the Baddy (Pimblett)," Paul told the MMA Hour. "They say he is the next Conor McGregor right, he is super charismatic and entertaining as hell. He is on the come-up and young like me and has a real loud mouth. I like the way he can perform.

"I think I might have him on my podcast and say to him straight up 'I would like to fight you in the UFC'. He could get up to 185lbs and I could get down to 185lbs for a UFC match. It's the only thing I don't know if I would win, he is a good a** fighter and I have never had an MMA fight. If I am doing it obviously I think I am going to win.

"But now I am looking at it and if I do a UFC fight then I have to do it with someone else who can sell tickets. He is still relatively new and he is young and entertaining so I think the fans will eat that s*** up. There is too much going on at the moment but yeah."

Paul has previously suggested he is willing to try a range of different combat sports but is currently yet to win a fight in any discipline. He began his surprise career alongside his brother Jake, when he fought YouTube rival KSI twice where he drew initially before losing in their huge rematch promoted by Matchroom Boxing.

The 27-year-old managed to generate an audience of one million via pay-per-view for his clash with Mayweather and has also called out UFC superstar Conor McGregor. Paul believes he could defeat the Irishman in the boxing ring but believes he would struggle if the pair met in the octagon.

"I don't think McGregor wants to fight me," Paul told Bild. "He knows he's losing. That's no joke! I just don't see how he should hit me. He really struggled against Mayweather and struggled. From round eight against Mayweather I turned up the heat. If I had had two more rounds I would have knocked him out, I know that! Conor would beat me in MMA, but I would definitely beat him in boxing."
