Logan Paul has cancelled his planned boxing comeback in January after suffering a knee injury in his WWE title fight.
Paul competed in a WWE championship match against Roman Reigns at the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia earlier this month. However he was defeated by Reigns, with his misery compounded after confirming he had torn multiple knee ligaments during his high-flying exploits.
The YouTube star had previously suggested he would return to the boxing ring, and was set to feature on his friend KSI's latest Misfits Boxing card which is pencilled in for January 14. However Paul has now claimed his latest setback could even affect his future with the WWE.
"So I think I am going to put out a YouTube video," Paul said during an episode of his podcast Impaulsive while delivering an update on his future. "Things have changed now and this is a s***ty injury it is very bad. It could have been worse and that is the good news. This affects my future with the WWE, it affects my boxing future which I already had to cancel a fight.
"It sucks. January 14 was meant to be the Prime card with KSI, I don't want to say yet but we did have an opponent. Injuries are the worst thing ever and I have been riddled with them my whole life. I have one big injury a year and without a doubt every year I get surgery and am needing to get rehabilitation every year."
Several fighters were believed to be in line for the opportunity to face Paul on January 14 which included controversial ex-kickboxer Andrew Tate and Conor McGregor's teammate Dillon Danis. However it appears the 27-year-old will now face several months out of action after being pictured in a wheelchair when being taken to hospital following his WWE defeat.

Paul has been active in calling out fighters on social media in the build-up to the potential January date which included reopening the door to a potential fight with Tate. The YouTube star also proposed that the pair do battle in a cage, and believes a showdown in the UFC could be welcomed by his rival.
"I have said what I said that I didn't feel like platforming him," Paul said during an interview with UFC star Sean O'Malley. "But then this motherf***** starts talking a lot of s***. And maybe I would take the opportunity to platform him for one night and turn his face inside out. So maybe I will take it back and I will fight Andrew Tate.
"I have a solution, why don't we do something that neither of us have done? An MMA fight between me and Tate in the UFC. Me vs Tate in the octagon. I am giving him options."
