Logan Paul appears to side with Andrew Tate with "matrix is real" message

Logan Paul appears to have sided with rival Andrew Tate by claiming "the matrix is real" in a cryptic social media post.

Tate has become one of the most popular stars on social media which is largely down to his airing of controversial views online including on women and society in general. With a background in kickboxing, the social media star has been heavily linked with a fighting return, but in the boxing ring where influencers are becoming increasingly involved with the sport.

Paul and Tate have exchanged trash talk over a potential showdown with the content creator offering to stage a clash between the pair either in the ring or in the UFC. And in surprise backing after previous criticism, Paul has appeared to back one of Tate's theories, tweeting: "The matrix is real. Pray you never become its target."

This comes just days after Tate accused 'The Matrix' of attacking him on social media after a report claimed one of himself or brother Tristan were rushed to hospital from a detention centre in Romania, following his arrest last month in connection with an investigation into alleged human trafficking, rape and forming an organised crime group.

He wrote: "The Matrix has attacked me. But they misunderstand, you cannot kill an idea. Hard to Kill." Tate has maintained throughout his career that "The Matrix" is a power that be which is controlled by the media, governments and big corporations in a bid to silence him.

Tate has been banned from social media platforms on a regular basis after airing his contentious views on women which many have branded "controversial" and "dangerous" by many online. However he has recently regained his Twitter account after the platform changed hands to Elon Musk who acquired the social media outlet.

Yesterday, news broke that Tate had failed in his appeal to be freed from custody in Romania having been arrested as part of the alleged investigation in December. While being led away from his property following the raids from prosecutors, Tate mouthed to the camera that the Matrix had "attacked" him.

Following the arrest, a tweet followed from his social media account which claimed "The Matrix sent their agents" before posting "The Matrix will only tell you what the Matrix needs you to believe" after his sentence was extended by 30 days. Paul has previously been a vocal critic of Tate's social media activity, and previously claimed he would refuse to give the star a platform for his views if a fight was in the works.

However Paul elected to alter his stance by suggesting he would back himself to succeed if the pair fought in any fighting discipline despite his rival's experience. Paul's brother Jake has also shown an openness to fight Tate, but did give the star a platform on his own social media to release his "final message" last year after Tate was de-platformed by several companies.
