Lockerbie Wheelchair Curling Club members' enthusiasm knows no boundaries

Enthusiasm for their sport knows no bounds for members of Lockerbie Wheelchair Curling Club.

Promising “good curling and a great atmosphere”, they are inviting wheelchair users of all ages and abilities to join them on the ice at the Lockerbie rink in the town’s Glasgow Road on Tuesdays from 10.30am to 12.30pm during the season.

The club is a not-for-profit organisation run under the wing of Annandale and Eskdale Disability Sports and members get to play the increasingly popular sport – whose profile was raised in the Paralympics – and socialise.

The dedicated voluntary coaches ensure there are fun club days and, before Covid, the chance for members to compete in tournaments and have internationals.

Our pictures, courtesy of Dumfries and Galloway Disability Sport, show just how much fun they have on the Lockerbie ice.
