Ireland has celebrated the lifting of Covid-19 lockdown in a major way - as STI cases have soared for the first quarter of 2022.
The three most common infections have all seen sharp increases as the return of pubs, nightclubs and other social events has seen people spreading their wings after two years of restrictions.
The latest HSPC figures were published this week in relation to Infectious Diseases.

But it does appear that the end of public health restrictions has caused sex-mad Irish people to go wild.
Chlamydia
There have been a whopping 2,330 cases of chlamydia recorded so far in Ireland this year.
We're only 13 weeks in to 2022, but already doctors are seeing an average of nearly 200 cases per week of the infection.
That was the case last week, with 211 people catching the most commonly diagnosed sexually transmitted infection in Ireland.
The 2,330 figure is an increase of 811 on this time last year, when restrictions were heavy.
The east is the worst-hit area, with 179 new cases last week.
Gonorrhoea
If you're seeing thick green or yellow discharge coming from your genitals, then you could well have gonorrhoea.
680 cases have already been recorded in 2022, including 86 in the last seven days.
That's a rise of 287 from the same period in 2021.
Syphilis
Last year, Ireland was experiencing an outbreak of syphilis which required "urgent action" at the time.
Prior to the start of the pandemic, cases were rising.
And that trend is continuing as we're heading towards the end of it.
239 people have suffered with the infection so far in 2022, an increase of 51 on the same period last year.
27 of the 32 new cases recorded last week were in the east.
