The Locharbriggs five-a-sides Caskie Cup returned last week after the two-year absence due to the pandemic.
The players turned out in high numbers with 75 teams competing during the week-long event held at Locharbriggs Primary School.
Bumper crowds supported the teams each night.
Twenty-two teams took part in the 10 years-and-under age group to get the tournament under way on Monday, June 27.
On Tuesday 24 teams contested the 12 years-and-under section, while 14 teams contested the
14-years-and-under and 15
eight-years-and-under teams completed the weeks line up.
Thursday night was finals night along with the busy
eight-years-and- under section.
In the eight-years-and-under age group, Greystone, Summerpark, Red Hustlers and St Andrews won through to the semi finals before Greystone and Red Hustlers contested an exciting and competitive final.
Red Hustlers were winners on penalties. That game was one of four cracking finals.
Class on Grass also needed penalties to defeat Banterlona in the 14-years-and-under final while Parkhead Warriors were too strong for Tekkers in the 12s and the younger Tekkers in the 10s defeated Mids 2-0.
Medals, trophies and cups were presented by Queen of the South players Ryan Muir, Dom McMahon, Charlie Cowie and Lewis Gibson – all former winners of the tournament.
Organiser John Caskie thanked volunteers and everyone for their support.
