The Loch Ness monster has been spotted by a couple on holiday in the third sighting of the year.
On Monday this week a pair of holidaymakers staying in a quaint cottage over looking Urquhart Castle on the banks of Loch Ness believe they spotted something in the water.
The sighting took place first thing in the morning at 6am and includes video footage of a reportedly large animate creature going in and out of the water.

The sighting was logged on the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register earlier this week.
The log read, "a couple on holiday for a week were staying in a cottage overlooking Urquhart Castle when they saw something in the water at 6.16am.
"They took a video which was later examined by a local photographic and video expert who said that what they captured was clearly animate, came out of the water before going back in again.

"And then out once more and was definitely larger than, for example, the bird life in the loch.
"The full video can be seen here and this is a still of what they saw."
The couple wish to remain anonymous and have said they have been nothing other than amused by reports of Nessie sightings in the past but could not explain the remarkable footage.
This is the fourth sighting of the fabled monster in 2022 so far.
