Three people not wearing life jackets had to be saved after their boat suddenly capsized on Loch Lomond.
Cops alerted Loch Lomond Rescue Boat team to the urgent incident at around 10:11am on Sunday, May 1.
The casualties had gotten into trouble in the water after their boat capsized in the area between Inchcailloch and Torrinch.
Rescuers arrived to discover three people in the water with no life jackets.
The rescue team has said 'lives were saved' at the popular beauty spot as the casualties were taken safely to shore.
It's understood paramedics were waiting on Duncan Mill Slipway but it's not known if anyone was injured in the incident.
The Loch Lomond Rescue Boat team has also now issued a plea for people to wear a life jacket when venturing out on the water.
They said: "Today 01/05/2022 at 10:11hrs LLRB were paged by Police Scotland after receiving reports of a capsized boat and three persons in the water.
"LLRB made way to the reported area between Inchcailloch and Torrinch, on arrival LLRB recovered three persons from the water NOT wearing life jackets.
"LLRB transported the casualties to Duncan Mill Slipway where they were handed over to Scottish Ambulance Service to be treated.
"LLRB then made way back to scene to assist National Park Rangers with the recovery of the capsized boat. NPR towed the boat to Milarrochy. The boat was then righted and dragged onto the shoreline. Thankfully lives were saved today.
"LLRB stood down and returned to base. Thank you to all emergency services today and others involved.
'If on the water please wear life jackets."
It comes after last year marked one of the worst summers on record for drowning accidents in Scotland.
Seven people died in Scottish waters within 24 hours in July, during a spell of warm weather.
Rescue services said educating the public on hazards such as currents and cold water shock is crucial - and called for more people to learn what to do if they spot someone in difficulty.
It was announced that hoteliers and people living near Loch Lomond would be taught how to use life-saving equipment following the tragic incidents.
