A YES group is joining forces with SNP and Alba members for “a show of unity” on an upcoming Day of Action.
Yes Skye and Lochalsh are to be hosting street stalls in Portree in Skye, alongside SNP and Alba for the Believe in Scotland national Day of Action.
Days of action will be held this Saturday and August 12 in the run up to a march and rally for an independent Scotland in the EU. The demonstration is a partnership event with Yes for EU and will take place on Saturday, September 2 in Edinburgh.
In an announcement on Tuesday, the group said it was delighted the two parties had agreed to campaign together on a local level.
The tweet said: “Yes Skye and Lochalsh is delighted that SNP Skye and Lochalsh and Alba Highland accepted our invite to put on a show of unity for the Believe in Scotland National Day of Action on Saturday, July 1 at 11am in Portree.”
The group also posted its email address for anyone wishing to volunteer at any of the three stalls (yesskye@gmail.com), as well as a cartoon graphic showing three individuals wearing jumpers with SNP/Greens, Yes, and Alba labels, standing arm in arm.
