A Londis in Wexford has been revealed as the shop that sold Saturday evening's Lotto winning ticket.
Someone in the sunny south east became a massve €2 million richer over the weekend, with the top prize being won in the Lotto for the third time in the previous four draws.
Now, we know exactly where it was bought.
Canavan's Londis in Gorey became the latest jackpot-selling shop - with the owners delighted to get the news that a ticket had been bought on the day of the draw.
Owners Martin and Catherine Canavan have been running the service station for sixteen years and were thrilled to find out they sold the winning ticket: “I’m so excited, I can barely speak!", said Catherine.
"This is the biggest prize that we have ever sold so there is certain to be great excitement around as soon as the news gets out. We’re a busy little shop out in the middle of nowhere. We’ve been running the service station sixteen years and most of our staff have been with us since the very first day. We’ve been kept going over the years by our amazing local customers. They are fantastic to us, and I’m so delighted someone has won this life-changing amount of money. We wish the winner the very best of luck with their prize", Catherine added.
The National Lottery has also confirmed that it is still waiting to hear from the winning ticket holder who has become the 32nd National Lottery millionaire of 2022.
