Lloyds Bank issue statement as online and app service goes down

Lloyds Bank customers are unable to access their money after the bank's online and mobile service crashed.

According to Downdetector, problems with Lloyds online and mobile banking began at 10am. Four hours later, the issues are still ongoing.

Soon after Lloyds first went down, customers took to Twitter to complain. Sarah Winter said: "@LloydsBank I need to use the internet banking app but it seems to have been down all morning and still not working. When will this be sorted??"

Aheb said: "Please get your act together @LloydsBank. The app has been down for nearly three hours now.."

Dai said: "Loads to do today ahead of a camping trip but cant do anything as @LloydsBank is having an online meltdown!"

Lynzy said: "Anyone else bank with @LloydsBank and unable to get into their banking app?"

Emily added: "Had tickets for @coldplay buzzing. Then @LloydsBank wouldn’t let me on my banking app, so consequently lost my tickets and ended up position 545,000 in the queue."

And Dan said: "So when is the app gonna work @LloydsBank? 2 hours now! And I need to get on it, urgently!"

In a statement on Twitter, Lloyds said : "We know some of our customers are having problems logging onto Internet and Mobile Banking at the moment. We're sorry for this and we're working to have it back to normal soon."
