With no Liverpool date the confirmed UK venues are London, Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester being the closest show. Demand to get tickets is expected to be high, with just four UK venues announced, and a host of presale options available to buy earlier in the week, general sale tickets may go quickly.

Trying to buy tickets for a popular gig can be stressful, especially if huge numbers of tickets were sold during presale. Waiting to click into the queue can be the deciding factor between securing tickets and not. To help fans waiting to get Lizzo tickets today, we've put together a list of tried and tested tips to help fans get to the front of the online queue, whether buying through Ticketmaster or any verified ticket account.

Get your Ticketmaster account ready

Having a Ticketmaster account ready and raring to go can boost your chances of getting tickets, and will only speed up the checkout process. Creating an account a couple of hours before tickets go live and setting up, or remembering your password, means you won't have to do this as the general sale opens. To help, create a Ticketmaster account, add in all personal details including the same name on your bank card.

Some venues check on entry to see if the ticket holder name matches your ID, and if it doesn't fans may be refused entry on the night. This is why buying resale tickets from unverified platforms can cause issues, as if the name on the ticket isn't officially updated, fans will be refused entry. General sale for Lizzo opens Friday, October 7 at midday.

Check your payment details

This brings us on to our next point, similar to ticketholder names, the cardholder name on the main bank card should be the same. We suggest updating your card details, or ensuring the card held on your Ticketmaster account hasn't expired, so that when you get to the front of the queue to buy tickets, there are no holdups.

This is essential to do if you aren't getting online tickets, if getting tickets in the post or collecting at the box office the details have to be correct to receive them.

Try with as many devices as possible

When it comes to buying tickets on the day, the best way we've found to increase chances of getting tickets is to join the queue on more than one device. Phone, laptop, tablet, PC the more devices the better chances of beating the potential thousands of people in front of you.

Once the queue opens this will also give you the chance to see which goes faster and evidently buy from that device. Logging into Ticketmaster on all the devices takes time, so make sure there's at least an hour to go. Ticketmaster also has a mobile app that works with majority of smartphones including iPhone and Android.

As well as having more than one device, another tried and tested tip is to open more than one browser on each device, joining the queue for multiple dates and buying tickets for the one you get to first. Seeing as Lizzo isn't playing in Liverpool, Manchester may sell out quite quickly, so flexibility with venues may be your best bet at getting to see her perform live.

Try the 20 minute rule

This is said to be the best time to log on, as it gives fans plenty of time to join on multiple devices but also be ready and waiting for when the waiting room opens. The waiting room is the holding room that fans can enter and queue before the main ticket queue opens. That means as soon as the ticket count down hits fans are directly put into the queue.
