Actress Liz Sheridan has passed away at age 93.
The late star - famous for playing Jerry's mother Helen in Seinfeld, died in the early hours of Friday morning, according to TMZ.
The American publication have reported that the actress passed away at 2.30am, just five days after celebrating her 93rd birthday.
The cause of death has been reported as natural causes.
Born on April 10, 1929 in New York, Liz was the daughter of concert singer Elizabeth Poole-Jones and classical pianist, Frank Sheridan.
The late star's first big break came when she bagged the role of Mrs Ochmonek, the nosy neighbor, on Alien Life Form from 1986 to 1990.
Liz's most recognisable stint on TV came when she portrayed Helen, Jerry's mother, in the long-running comedy Seinfeld.
The late star appeared in all nine seasons, from 1990 to 1998, the only actor to do so apart from the four leads; Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Michael Richards.
Liz enjoyed a varied career throughout her time in Hollywood - in over a dozen feature films and 60 prime time network television movies.
Before appearing on screen, the late actress had enjoyed a stint on Broadway throughout the 1970s - even appearing alongside Meryl Streep and Christopher Lloyd in the 1977's musical, Happy End.
Away from work, Liz's personal life read like a Hollywood movie at time - with the late star enjoying a brief romance with a then-unknown James Dean during her time working as a dancer in New York City nightclubs.
"We had great times... We didn't want to be apart," Liz recalled in her book, Dizzy & Jimmy: My Life with James Dean: A Love Story.
"We found a place and lived together... [b]efore he really hit it big."
Liz went on to meet jazz musician William Dale Wales in Puerto Rico, sharing a life together from 1960 until his death in 2003.
They married in 1985 and welcomed one daughter into the world together.
"Rest In Sweet Peace, Liz Sheridan. Thank you for endlessly entertaining us for so many years," one fan took to Twitter to write as the news broke on Friday night.
"RIP Liz Sheridan “what with Def Jam and all” always makes me laugh so hard," another tweeted, with a third adding: "Losing Mrs. Seinfeld and Mrs. Costanza in the same month is a tough blow straight from the cosmos. R.I.P. Liz Sheridan."
Many fans noted that Liz's death comes just weeks after the passing of another Seinfeld star, Estelle Harris.
Liz is survived by her daughter, who works as a photographer in New York City, and her son-in-law.
