Livingston weigh up deal for trialist Luiyi De Lucas as Steven Bradley nears move

Livingston are still weighing up a deal for Dominican Republic defender Luiyi De Lucas as they close in on Hibernian youngster Steven Bradley.

The duo featured as trialists during Livi’s successful warm-weather training camp in Turkey last week.

Bradley scored a goal in each of the friendly wins over Latvians FK Liepaja and Dutch side Fortuna Sittard, whilst De Lucas also impressed during the Lions’ Titanic Cup success.

It is understood Livi have an agreement in place with Hibs to sign Bradley when the transfer window opens in January.

The 20-year-old, whose contract at Easter Road is due to expire in 2024, is expected to train with the Almondvale side in the meantime after being identified as surplus to requirements by Hibs manager Lee Johnson.

De Lucas, who is out of contract after two seasons with Haka in Finland, is also still training with David Martindale’s side as he tries to win a move to the Scottish Premiership.

The 28-year-old has eight international caps and was Haka’s player of the year last year, but his arrival could depend on the possible departure of centre-half Jack Fitzwater, who Livi expect increased interest for next month.
