Livingston handed challenging start to the season after fixtures revealed

Livingston will welcome former skipper Nicky Devlin back to the Tony Macaroni Arena on the opening day of the season as they kick-off the 2023/24 campaign at home to Aberdeen.

Right-back Devlin exited the West Lothian outfit in the summer after a four-year stay with the Lions and doesn't have to wait long for a return with the opening fixture taking place on Saturday, August 5.

That's then followed by testing away trips to Rangers on August 12 and Hibernian on August 26 - with a potential Viaplay Cup second round tie being placed in between those fixtures.

While they open the campaign in testing fashion, the Lions also finish the pre-split fixtures with a string of tricky games with their final four matches being away to Hibs (March 16), home to Celtic (March 30), home to Aberdeen (April 6) and away to Hearts (April 13).

Livi, who are entering an unprecedented sixth successive top flight campaign, get their pre-season friendlies up and running tomorrow when they welcome Queen of the South, now manged by former Lions skipper and assistant manager Marvin Bartley. Kick-off is 3pm.
