Liverpool have named the same team to face Paris Saint-Germain in tonight’s huge Champions League last-16 second-leg decider, with Cody Gakpo on the bench.
The Dutch forward missed Liverpool’s late 1-0 win over PSG in Paris last week with the recurrence of an ankle injury and subsequently sat out the 3-1 Premier League victory over Southampton at the weekend.

However, in a massive boost for the Reds ahead of the return leg against PSG - as well as Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Newcastle - Gakpo was present for an open training session on Monday.
Manager Arne Slot later said at his pre-match press conference: “Yeah, he will be in the squad. Today he was training for the first time.”
Though given Gakpo’s last start was a month ago in the Merseyside derby draw with Everton, he is only named among the substitutes against PSG as Slot does not need to take any risks.
Darwin Nunez both scored and won a penalty as Liverpool beat Southampton on Saturday and was pushing to retain his place in the starting lineup over Diogo Jota having also assisted Harvey Elliott’s late winner in Paris, but he is on the bench tonight with Diogo Jota back up top.
Andy Robertson and Alexis Mac Allister also earn recalls having been partially rested to the bench at the weekend as Kostas Tsimikas and Curtis Jones drop out.
