Liverpool XI vs Napoli: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Champions League tonight

Liverpool can win Champions League Group A tonight but will need to go on the attack against an in-form Napoli.

The Reds welcome their Italian counterparts to Anfield having both already qualified for the knockout stage, but with top spot in Group A still undecided.

Liverpool face a tall order to finish top of the pile, and clinch a subsequent seeding for the knockout stage draw, as they must beat Serie A leaders Napoli by four goals.

As such, the likes of Harvey Elliot and Curtis Jones could make way for James Milner - who did the pre-match press conference with Klopp - and Fabinho.

“We don't want to take risks but you know Napoli are in incredible shape and play incredible football, maybe the team in form in Europe at moment," Jurgen Klopp said.

“It's not game for massive rotation ... We want to win the game. I have to make the line-up later today or maybe tomorrow morning. Then we will go from there. We have to put a proper shift in, so we need the players who have the possibility to do that. I don't know who that is now.”

Klopp did confirm that defender Joel Matip remains sidelined with a calf injury, but Ibrahima Konate could make the squad, while Calvin Ramsay is in line for his debut at last.

Klopp said of Konate: “It's very good to have him back. He's ready for the squad now. He trained yesterday completely normal. He's had eight or nine days. That's obviously very good. He is an option.”

Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Milner, Thiago, Fabinho; Salah, Firmino, Jones.
