Liverpool XI vs Leicester: Predicted lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for Premier League

Comeback chance: Trent Alexander-Arnold could be on the bench when Liverpool take on Leicester - (ES Composite)

Trent Alexander-Arnold could make his comeback on the day Liverpool can seal the Premier League title.

Alexander-Arnold has been out for six weeks with an ankle injury but he is back in training and could be in the squad against Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

“[He is] not [ready] to start,” said Liverpool boss Arne Slot on Friday. “But if things go well today and tomorrow, he might - might - be on the bench. But definitely not to start.”

Liverpool’s right-back problems have eased of late with Conor Bradley last weekend making his first start since recovering from a hamstring injury.

Bradley looks set to keep his place in the side, with Alexander-Arnold potentially coming on in the second half if he is passed fit.

Darwin Nunez should be back in the squad after recovering from the illness that saw him miss the last-gasp 2-1 win over West Ham at Anfield last weekend.

Slot may choose to reinstall Andy Robertson at left-back in place of Kostas Tsimikas, who looks rusty against West Ham.

Dominik Szoboszlai will hope to return further forward after Curtis Jones got the nod last weekend.

Slot has a decision to make over who joins Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz in attack.

Joe Gomez remains absent after hamstring surgery.

Premier League champions-elect Liverpool will seal the title with five matches to spare if they beat Leicester on Sunday and Arsenal lose away at Ipswich earlier in the afternoon.

Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz; Jota

Injured: Gomez

Doubt: Alexander-Arnold

Time and date: 4.30pm BST on Sunday April 20, 2025

Venue: King Power Stadium, Leicester
