Liverpool XI vs Ipswich: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Premier League today

Liverpool have Ibrahima Konate fit to start against Ipswich in the Premier League today.

Konate was slight doubt to start for the Reds after a suffering a knock to his knee. However, the Frenchman has shaken that off to return to the starting lineup at the expense of Jarell Quansah.

The Reds are hosting the struggling Tractor Boys at Anfield and will be strong favourites to at least maintain their current six-point lead at the Premier League summit as closest title rivals Arsenal head to Wolves and Nottingham Forest travel to Bournemouth.

Arne Slot’s side beat Lille 2-1 in the Champions League earlier this week to progress automatically into the knockout rounds in relatively serene fashion.

But midfielder Jones was forced off with injury against the French outfit and has been ruled out of today’s game on Merseyside.

"He went out during half-time so it's mostly not a good sign and it wasn't because he won't be available tomorrow,” confirmed Slot on Friday.

"We'll have to wait and see how long it takes but I'm not expecting months. Let's see if he's available for PSV or Bournemouth."

Diogo Jota picked up an issue during the 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest last week and will also sit the game out, along with Joe Gomez.

The likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo were all rested against Lille and return to the starting lineup as Harvey Elliott is named among the substitutes.

Confirmed team news

Liverpool XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Diaz

Subs: Kelleher, Endo, Nunez, Chiesa, Elliott, Tsimikas, Danns, Quansah, Bradley
