Liverpool XI vs Cardiff: Luis Diaz on bench - Confirmed lineup, team news and injury latest for FA Cup today

Liverpool fans will have to be patient in their hope of seeing Luis Diaz when Cardiff come to Anfield for an FA Cup clash today.

Jurgen Klopp confirmed 48 hours before the game that he was still yet to see the Colombian forward in a training session, following his move from Porto late in the January transfer window. And Diaz is named on the bench for the fourth-round tie.

After a week off and with their subsequent Premier League clash with Leicester pushed back to the following Thursday, Liverpool field a strong team for the fourth-round tie at Anfield.

Harvey Elliott is on the bench after completing his recovery from a broken ankle while Divock Origi misses out after only undertaking his first training session after a knee injury on Thursday.

Thiago Alcantara sat out Friday’s workout due to a chest infection and features on the bench, having overcome a hip problem.

Naby Keita is once again available for selection after the end of his Africa Cup of Nations campaign, with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah facing off in Sunday’s final to rule them out of the Cardiff clash.

Liverpool XI: Kelleher; Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Konate, Tsimikas; Keita, Henderson, Jones; Minamino, Jota, Firmino.

Subs: Adrian, Thiago, Milner, Diaz, Robertson, Matip, Gordon, Elliott, Morton.
