Temperatures may be hitting highs of 23C today across Liverpool, but heavy rain is just around the corner.
On Tuesday, May 17, there will be a fine and bright start but cloud will start to develop in the afternoon, according to the Met Office. Once cloud settles in, we're in for an afternoon of heavy rain.
It will cool down, due to a southerly wind, however Merseyside should still expect warm temperatures of around 23C today. Into the evening a band of heavy rain is forecast.

This will calm down and allow for a dry and bright Wednesday, however this won't last. It's set to be cooler on Thursday, but a dry and sunny day nonetheless.
Wet weather will return on Friday, with temperatures hitting 16C maximum. Scattered showers are then expected into the weekend and the week ahead.
The BBC outlook for the rest of the week reads: "Thursday will be a largely dry and fine day, but areas of cloud will drift through at times which may yield the odd spot of rain. On Friday, there will be outbreaks of rain and showers. Sunny spells will develop later in the afternoon, however. Saturday is expected to be mainly dry with variable cloud amounts, with a chance of some patchy light rain within the thickest cloud."
