Liverpool will see an overcast start to the month, with weather set to get colder over the weekend.
According to the latest Met Office forecast, Thursday (December 1) will begin with overcast weather but there could be some sun after lunchtime. The city will see a high of 8C, with no more than a 20% chance of rain through the day.
The Met Office states the wider North West can expect: "Mist and fog patches will be slow to clear in the south, and may linger in some places all day. However, where fog clears it will stay cloudy and largely dry".

The forecaster adds that tonight will see "a mixture of low cloud, mist and fog patches will form" and a minimum temperature of 1C. Friday will be another overcast day in Liverpool, with a high of 6C and low 4C forecast.
Its outlook for the weekend reads: "Turning colder over the weekend in a brisk easterly wind. Sunny spells and largely dry on Saturday. Cloudier on Sunday and Monday with showers, turning wintry over hills."
