Liverpool weather sees temperatures plunge but staying dry

Liverpool's weather will be largely dry but temperatures will drop significantly ahead of the weekend.

The Met Office said the weather in Liverpool today, Friday, December 2 will be largely dry but with patches of mist and fog throughout the morning. The mist and fog should clear by the afternoon with some brighter spells expected later in the day.

The day will remain cloudy throughout and temperatures will feel colder than earlier in the week. A brisk wind is expected and will make temperatures feel several degrees colder than it is.

The maximum temperature today will be around 7c at 6pm. We should expect a dry evening with some clear breaks as we move towards the night. The night will stay mostly dry with less fog than last night.

The temperature will be around 2c or 3c for most of the night. As we move into the weekend we should expect another largely dry day with some brighter sunshine.

The Met Office forecast for the whole of the north west said: "A little drizzly rain for parts of Cumbria at first, otherwise a mostly dry day. Any mist and fog will clear through the morning with some bright spells following, though staying often cloudy. Feeling chilly with a brisk breeze. Maximum temperature 8C."
